St. George - Bryce Canyon - Antelope Canyon (2 nights)

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Travel to Bryce Canyon National Park (approximately 2.15 hours) in Utah, USA. The Grand Canyon isn't the only natural wonder created by this natural phenomenon. Six million years ago, this area was underwater. As the earth's crust shifted, the plateau was lifted and severely eroded, creating numerous columns of earth and rock in the canyon, reaching heights of 2,800 meters above sea level. Since it's located at the end of the Grand Canyon, it was named Bryce Canyon. Bryce Canyon's signature feature is its rows of sharp, pointed rock formations, known as hoodoos, which form a series of bizarre shapes. Native American legends claim these columns were created by cursed humans who turned them to stone. Bryce Canyon is composed of alternating sandstone and shale. From the Cretaceous to the early Cenozoic, it deposited in a lacustrine environment that gradually became shallower over millions of years. This allowed river erosion to begin, along with land uplift during the formation of the Rocky Mountains (~70-50 million years ago). Another crustal uplift followed, creating the Colorado Plateau about 16 million years ago. This uplift caused the rocks to begin to fracture vertically, making them more susceptible to erosion, eventually forming the spectacular columnar formations of today. The reddish-brown, pink, and red colors are derived from the iron-rich mineral hematite. The yellow color comes from limonite, while the purple color comes from pyrolusite. You're free to take photos of Bryce Canyon at your leisure.
    Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we'll travel to Antelope Canyon (approximately 3 hours). This mysterious canyon was created by the rapid erosion of Navajo Sandstone, which was eroded by the rapid flow of water, combined with the force of wind and rainstorms throughout the seasons. Today, Antelope Canyon is considered one of the most dangerous canyons in the area, as flash floods can occur at any time, with water levels reaching as high as 10 meters.

Depart for Monument Valley (Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park) (approximately 2.45 hours). Geologists call these columns "monuments," which resemble man-made structures such as tall buildings. Many of these unusually shaped rock columns are known as "masas," which are flat-topped columns, or "mesas." They rise 300 meters high and are topped with stone tablets resembling the fingers of a serpent. There are also "glove stones," which have blunted peaks resembling four fingers. There are many other unusual rock formations. A group of rock formations, rising 245 meters, this canyon has also been the setting for numerous Hollywood films, including Mission Impossible II, Transformers, Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, and more. Within the park are cliffs where ancient people built dwellings. Today, these are an important historical site in the United States. Mesa Verde is also a historical site for the ancient Pueblo Indians, as the area is full of overhanging cliffs, creating cave-like formations beneath them. The Pueblo Indians took advantage of this natural shelter by constructing their homes beneath the cliffs. These cliff communities are located on top of a high, table-shaped mountain, reaching heights of 3,650 meters. The Pueblo people expanded and established over 600 villages, large and small, beneath the cliffs. The largest, Cliff Palace, is a six-story apartment or condominium complex with 217 rooms and a length of 88 meters, capable of housing up to 600 people. Mesa Verde National Park is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, preserving this ancient site for humanity. Enjoy free time to photograph the ancient city beneath the cliffs.
