Montenegro meaning "black mountain" is an independent country located in Southeast Europe extends to the Adriatic and Croatia, to the west, to Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the north, to Serbia to the east and to Albania, to the south , to Podgorica. It's the capital and largest city of the country.
Montenegro has historically been a republic in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. And later became a part of Political union of Serbia - Montenegro. Following a referendum on May 21 , 2006, Montenegro declared its independence on June 3 , 2006. According to the current constitution, Montenegro is designated a "state".
